The Psychosis and Severe Mental Disorders group is led by Professor Melissa Green and Dr Oliver Watkeys is the research fellow who will conduct research to (a) identify risk factors for psychosis and other severe mental disorders across the early life course, (b) characterise mental health service use and psychotropic prescriptions in children and young people, with a view to informing prevention strategies. Our research uses existing intergenerational, linked administrative (e.g., health service use) data for a population cohort of ~90,000 children growing up in New South Wales (NSW) as part of the NSW Child Development Study.
