Growing Minds Australia: Improving Mental Health Pathways and Access to Child and Youth Treatments Initiative (GMA IMPACT)
GMA IMPACT is an adaptation of the successful Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) program in the UK. GMA IMPACT is an innovative service model that aims to transform provision of child and youth mental health treatment in Australia. The three pillars of GMA IMPACT are:
- Immediate engagement with referrals using stepped care, with a focus on engagement with online interventions
- Promotion of evidence-based support via ongoing practitioner support and training
- Shared, publicly available outcome monitoring
We have recently established our Advisory Committee, a group of researchers and practitioners with expertise covering various multidisciplinary professions; areas of child and youth mental health; and public, private and university sectors.
